What is a periodic transaction report?
A periodic transaction report (PTR) is the form members of Congress, and covered officials and staff, file to disclose a purchase, sale or exchange of a security worth more than $1,000. It was created by the STOCK Act of 2012.
A PTR lists the asset, whether it was a purchase, sale or exchange, the transaction date, the date of notification and the amount as a value range. It is due within 30 days of notification and no later than 45 days after the transaction.
House PTRs are published as PDFs by the Clerk of the House; Senate PTRs are on the Senate's electronic financial disclosure (eFD) site. Every Congress trade on VolaIntel links the PTR it came from.

Questions
Where can I read a member's PTR?
House reports at disclosures-clerk.house.gov, Senate reports at efdsearch.senate.gov. Every row on VolaIntel links its report.
VolaIntel reports public filings. It is not investment advice. Amounts for congressional trades are the value ranges members report.
